Discipleship

To be a Christian is to be a disciple of Jesus. When we talk about discipleship, we are speaking of intentional growth in our Christian walk. Encouraging discipleship is one of the most important tasks a Church does. 

Children's Ministry and Family Ministry

Our Children's Ministry meets each Sunday Morning at 9:00AM from September through June. 

We believe that Children's Ministry should follow the prescription of Moses:

"And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down,and when you rise."  - Deuteronomy 6:6 - 7 

Our Children's Ministry seeks to help lead children into a knowledge of the gospel of Jesus. Because we believe that Scripture is clear that parents are the primary disciple-makers in the lives of their children, our hope is to partner with parents in their pursuit of this mission, coming alongside them in the discipleship process.

Student Ministry

Our Student Ministry meets each Sunday morning at 9 AM from September through June. 

The goal of our Student Ministry is to equip each student with a thorough understanding of the Christian Faith so they may become mature disciples of Christ. We utilize the New City Catechism as our guide for discipleship. 

It is also important to incorporate students into the regular life of the Church as well as engage their faith through youth events and activities.

College Ministry

We serve students who attend any of our local colleges. We have an outreach to Vassar College, and also serve students from Dutchess Community College, the CIA, and Marist. 

Our primary ministry to students is twofold: the public teaching of God’s Word in which the good news of Jesus Christ is proclaimed, and the relationships in our community of believers that gather to be built up by that Word.

Adult Ministry

Our adult discipleship involves everything from participation in our new members class, to Small Groups, and Sunday Bible studies. We encourage adults to constantly grow in their walk with Christ.
